Amelia's 18 Month Recap

Where to begin.. Amelia's 18 MONTHS!

STATS

Height: 31"

Weight: 25lbs

FOODS:

Likes: Olives, pizza, noodles, cheese, pickles, ham, rice, beans, and most Vegies & Fruits. Needless to say, she's a very good eater and not too picky.

Dislikes: MILK- she'll only drink it if she's VERY thirsty, cauliflower, lettuce and peppers. If she has a couple of "like" foods on her plate she'll sometimes decide that she doesn't like one of them and ONLY eat the other.

MOBILITY:

She has just learned to walk down the stairs forwards by holding onto the railing. She climbs onto everything. Our chairs and benches for our table are actually ON TOP of our table to prevent her from climbing up and playing with the chandelier. Instead of riding the spring horse on her bottom she prefers to stand up in the "sadle" and bounce. Her favorite thing to climb on is the computer desk- she LOVES to get to the computers and all that they entail (mouse, keyboard, screen, chords..you get the idea).

TALKING:

Her vocabulary is just starting to expand over the last couple weeks. The words she can say now include; momma, dada, gage, lilly(it's a stretch but i can hear it), drink, snack, no, go, buh bye, hi and up.

PERSONALITY:

She prefers to take a shower over a bath. Oustide with nothing vs. inside with all her toys. Stroller rides around the neighborhood. Collecting rocks in buckets especially from the neighbors yard. Doesn't like ANYthing on her head or in her hair. She loves to gather socks-from drawers, laundry baskets, bedrooms... Likes to put shoes on, usually the ones that work best are big sis's because they aren't too big so she can still walk semi-normal in them. She will still wake up during the night at least a couple times a week and she does NOT like to sleep in bed with Mommy, i guess she needs her space! Ring around the rosey is a favorite. She's good at "finding" in hide and go seek. I can't keep anything out of her mouth if it can fit in there in the first place. She helps me dig in the garden and fill up containers with dirt to make castles so she can destroy them. She'll gladly do anything that involves water, be it the dishes in the sink, splashing in puddles, or running through sprinklers.. she's all for it! Oh, and much to my chagrin, when she toots, she laughs, something that big brothers taught her to do. She is non-stop action.

In short she is still my little "stunt" baby who loves to get into messes but also loves to give me hugs, make me laugh and wear me OUT!
