Time sure flies..

...when we're having soo many parties in February!

We started off with Valentine's Day! Lilly was super excited to take her valentines to class. We didn't do anything creative or crafty, she picked out some fruit by the foot valentines and then wrote her name on all of them. As a family, we spent an evening frosting sugar cookies. We each got to make our own color of frosting and pick out our own sprinkles.

The ladies at Larry's work thought he was CRAZY to buy me a Sander for Valentines! They just don't know me well enough cause I was ECSTATIC!! (Larry even thought it was funny how Tiff thought it was a great gift too- is it hereditary to want a Sander vs. Roses for Valentines?)

Lilly had her 100th Day of School Party the day AFTER her Valentines Party! She took in 100 BUTTONS (from Grammy's house) in a brown bag for her classmates to guess what they were using her 3 clues. Then instead of candy she had to count out 100 crackers/snack items into a baggie which she brought home and devoured in less than 5 minutes.

Up Next was Gabriel's Birthday! Which it was technically BEFORE Valentines but we celebrated AFTER Valentines. Dad, Mom & James drove down to Tiff's house this weekend so we had Jared with us to help celebrate. Jared gave me the idea to use just a WORD from mythbusters for Gabe's cake instead of trying to draw out the guys faces.. thank YOU Jared!

I didn't think I did too bad except the wording was as thick- which was due to the fact that I RAN out of frosting.. and the stuff to make frosting and didn't have any time to go get any more. But.. it was a pretty cool 4 layer cake!

Gabe opened presents- he was really good about letting Mia help him, even when she started taking the gifts away before he could even see what he got!

Another candle on his cake! He surveyed his cake to find the best spot to blow out his candles all at once. Which ended up being on one of the long ends and sure enough- he got them all with one breath!

Also during February....

The SUN DID COME OUT- it might have only been 1x that we got to enjoy it but we took advantage of that 1x!

Here's Larry sporting his nerdy glasses probably saying something like "Come on Man!" to one of the boys on the other side of the yard when they didn't catch the ball he threw.

Girls jumping on the tramp! They were so happy to be outside they wore themselves out after 20 minutes.



After THAT fun weekend we got to celebrate Grandpa's Birthday and share his yummy birthday dinner with him with Apple Pie for dessert. Lilly was a little confused by the pie she said it was his birthday so why didn't grammy make him a cake?

Then on top of that we had a GAME night with the FAM sans Josh & Megan cause she had a killer headache. We played Dance Dance Revolution. The girls tried it out for the first time and all Lilly wanted to do the next few days was... yep.. more dance dance revolution. Once the girls were in bed we played card games and enjoyed each other's company!!

PHEW!! I know it doesn't seem crazy but those parties were the in-betweeners of CHAOS from sickness, working, chores, errands and too many other things to even remember!
