OXFORD

August 7th & 8th

We drove to Oxford Thursday night. It was super windy and we even lost power a couple times throughout the night. Friday morning the yard was littered with tree branches. We spent a couple hours picking up most of the big ones.

Horses are always a big hit with the kids. Lilly couldn't wait for them to get close enough for her to feed them. We ended up having to wait until after lunch but it was worth the wait for her. She wanted me to let her ride one of them and it was hard for me to tell her we couldn't this time.

We took a walk and the kids were invited to help feed the calves. There were 23 of them so they had fun looking at them. Lilly enjoyed taking them the bottles and putting them in the slots so they could eat. She even helped collect the empty ones when they were done eating.

.
While the kids, Tiff & I wandered around Oxford, all the guys drove up the mountain a ways and played Airsoft. They said it was great to have all the trees to use for barriers. They even played while it was sprinkling rain and with Mud on the ground. If you know my husband than you'll know that playing in the Mud is a big deal... he doesn't like to get dirty. :)
